MUNICIPAL BAND SCHEDULES THIRD CONCERT

The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band, conducted by Neil Casey, will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Capaha Band Shell.

Special guest entertainers will be Steve Schaffner and Steve Pirtle. Celebrity guest conductor will be Mike Kohlfeld.

Planned selections include "Bandology March" by Eric Osterling, "A Welsh Rhapsody" by Clare Grundman, "Begin the Beguine" by Cole Porter and "The Phantom of the Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The concert is free and will last about one hour. The audience is encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Highlights from Municipal Band concerts may be heard at 8 p.m. Mondays on KRCU 90.9 FM.
