JACKSON -- The Jackson Municipal Band will perform at 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Jackson City Park.
Special guest will be fiddler Bob King.
King is one of Southeast Missouri's premier country fiddlers. He has performed throughout the Midwest for over 60 years.
King has toured several years with his band and is still a competitor in area fiddling contests. He has won outstanding adult fiddler at the SEMO District Fair many times. He and his wife, Geneva, who accompanies him on the keyboard, still play for Senior Citizens, picnics, dinners and various fiddling competitions throughout the area.
The Municipal Band's portion of the concert will include a collection of Willie Nelson hits, Sousa and Karl L. King marches and Grainger's "Irish Tune from County Derry."
