MUENCH NAMED TO ADVISORY BOARD

Sarah Muench, 16, daughter of John G. and Martha Muench of Cape Girardeau has been named to the first-ever Seventeen Magazine teen advisory board. She will be a junior this year at Cape Central High School.

"My brother, Cory, knew one of the editors and got an application for me," said Muench.

Muench and 16 others were chosen for the board from the hundreds of applications the magazine received.

The board suggests story ideas, does some reporting, conducts polls and keeps the magazine up-to-date on current trends. Most of the communications are handled by e-mail or phone.

"We're trying to get them to bring us all together so we could meet," Muench said.

All 17 members of the board are pictured in the August issue of Seventeen magazine.
