Motorcycle crashes with bus on Broadway

A motorcyclist was injured Thursday when he collided with a school bus.

The accident happened about 3 p.m. The motorcycle was eastbound on Broadway when it collided with the bus, which was turning north onto Sunset Boulevard from the westbound lane of Broadway, police said.

No students were on the bus at the time of the accident. The rider of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet and was transported to Southeast Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The accident caused the closure of Broadway for approximately 20 minutes while the road was cleared of debris.
