MORLEY MAN SHOT TO DEATH

MORLEY, Mo. -- A 45-year-old Morley man was found shot to death at his home Monday.

The body of Michael E. Carey was found by his wife when she returned home from work about 9:30 a.m., according to the Scott County sheriff's office.

Carey had been shot once in the chest with a small caliber weapon and had a second wound in the back of his head.

Sheriff"s Sgt. Jerry Bledsoe said a struggle had occurred in the living room and kitchen, but there were no signs of forcible entry to the residence.

Morley is south of Benton, Mo., on U.S. 61.
