SIKESTON, Mo. -- A fight outside bar Wednesday left a man with his ear partially bitten off.

According to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, Tim Ingram of Morley, was leaving Cheers at 1637 E. Malone, Wednesday at approximately 6 p.m. when someone attacked him from behind.

Ingram and witnesses said the man came from behind and punched him. He continued hitting Ingram and then began biting him on the left forearm and ear, partially biting Ingram's ear off.

The suspect handed the piece of ear to a witness then fled.

Ingram was taken to the Missouri Delta Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.

The suspect, who turned himself into DPS headquarters a short time later.
