KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Health officials put the cleanup of an underground facility where anthrax was found on hold Monday so they could take more samples and conduct more tests.
Also Monday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention joined the investigation at the request of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
During the weekend, officials had said cleanup at the Stamp Fulfillment Services Center, which cancels newly issued stamps for stamp collectors, could begin as early as Monday.
