MONEY RAISED FOR MDA BY LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS

Two bowl-a-thon, fund-raising activities collected money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Solar Press in Perryville conducted its annual bowl-a-thon, and Solar Press employees collected $1,856 to help "Jerry's Kids." A total of 38 bowlers were recruited. Each bowler secured sponsorships from friends and relatives based upon their score after three games. Bill Wilson was the top fund-raiser and Jerry Joy had the high score for the event.

Members of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 1015 in Southeast Missouri collected $750 in their bowl-a-thon. A total of 13 bowlers were recruited. Kevin Cracraft, Shelby Cooper and Glen Terbrak were top fund-raisers at the event.
