The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin restriping state routes next week in Cape Girardeau and Jackson, according to a news release from the department.
Work will be from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and is scheduled through mid May, weather permitting.
Drivers are asked to use caution and give crews space to work. Warning signs will be placed on the back of striping vehicles for safety and motorists are asked to stay 500 feet back and follow all safety signage. The department also asks motorists not to pass the equipment to avoid getting paint on their vehicles. For more information, call 1-888-ASK-MODOT or visit modot.org/southeast.
