No formal presentation will be made, but highway officials will be on hand to discuss the proposed projects.

One highway project would involve a bypass that would extend from routes 72 and 34 intersection west of Jackson to Interstate 55, between the Route K intersection and the new Route 74 interchange in Cape Girardeau.

The goal is to relieve traffic congestion and provide a more efficient roadway for motorists traveling to Cape Girardeau, state highway officials said.
