MoDOT to discuss bridge replacement
The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a community briefing Thursday to discuss the replacement of the Route B Little Muddy Creek Bridge in Bollinger County. The meeting is at 4 p.m. at MoDOT's maintenance shed in Patton on Highway 72, east of Highway 51. In September, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission approved plans to improve more than 800 of the state's lower rated bridges in the next five years. Nineteen bridges in the Southeast District will be among the first improvement projects in 2009 and 2010. Each bridge will close for up to six weeks. Briefings will be announced for other bridges in the region as construction approaches.
