SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold an open-house community briefing from 4 to 6 p.m. July 9 at the Matthews, Mo., city hall, 100 Main St., to discuss an upcoming bridge project on Route H in New Madrid County.
The project will include replacing the Route H bridge over Otter Slough. The new structure will be about four feet wider than the existing bridge and feature lower bridge rails to better accommodate agricultural equipment. Construction is expected to begin in early summer 2013, with completion in late summer 2013.
