MoDOT has several road work projects planned that will affect traffic in the local area, starting with one today.
Route EE in Scott and Cape Girardeau counties is reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews patch the roadway.
The work will be performed from Highway 77 to Highway 25.
Weather permitting, the work will take place today from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Route W in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction while MoDOT crews patch the roadway.
This section of roadway is located from Highway 177 to Lexington Street in Cape Girardeau.
Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Tuesday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Interstate 55 in Scott County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform routine bridge maintenance.
The repairs will be made in the southbound lane at the bridges located a half mile north of Highway 62 and a half mile south of Highway 57.
Weather permitting, the work will take place Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
