MOBILE HOME FIRE KILLS MAN

ANNISTON -- A fire in a mobile home in Anniston Tuesday killed a Mound City, Ill. man.

Authorities identified the victim as Michael William Hannan, 33.

Anniston Fire Chief Danny Lafferty said the blaze was discovered at approximately 3:30 a.m. by the owner of the mobile home, Vicki Bohannon.

Hannan was asleep in a bedroom inside the mobile home. Bohannon had been at work and upon returning home discovered the trailer was full of smoke, Lafferty said. Hannan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The blaze originated on the stove, he said.
