SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri State University plans to construct and renovate several buildings on its campuses by issuing $57 million in bonds.

The executive committee of the school's board of governors has approved the construction bond package.

Missouri State will use the funds to upgrade residence halls and recreation centers at its campuses in Springfield and West Plains.

Other projects include construction of an educational building for the Darr Agricultural Center in Springfield and renovation of Looney Hall in West Plains.
