COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The University of Missouri has hired the provost of Florida State University for a similar role at the flagship Columbia campus.
Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin on Thursday announced the hiring of Garnett Stokes as the university's provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs. The hiring is effective Feb. 2.
Stokes worked as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the Tallahassee school. She also served as Florida State's interim president and is former psychology professor.
