Nathan Pernia, an advertising designer for the Southeast Missourian, was a first place winner for his design in the Suburban Newspapers of America (SNA) Advertising Contest conducted recently.
Pernia was designer for the Best Single Classified Ad (Color: One or Two Colors plus Black) for an Auffenberg "Stop And Shop" classified ad.
The winning entries were displayed at SNA's 1993 Advertising Conference, held at Plaza San Antonio, Tex. Hotel last weekend.
Other Missourian entries which were winners in the contest were: Second place for Best New Special Advertising Section (ROP and/or Classified), for the `Recycle Tab'; third place, Best General Interest Promotion Special Section, `Best of the Season;' and honorable mention, Best Regular ROP Advertising, `TBY.' All winning entries were designed by the Southeast Missourian's Creative Services Department.
