Dennis Reed, computer information technology supervisor for Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED), will be guest speaker at the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce First Friday Coffee, to be held at 7:30 a.m. Friday at the Show Me Center.

Reed will discuss the DED's Missouri Works Internet jobsite, and how it can be used by employers. A special seminar will be held following the coffee to teach employers how to use the site.

The two-hour seminar will start about 9 a.m.

Missouri Works, sponsored and maintained by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, provides services to citizens and employers in employment, job development and training endeavors.

Missouri Works provides various "matching" mechanisms depending on whether you are conducting your search as an employer or as a job seeker.

Employers can register with Missouri Works to search job seeker's "electronic resumes," enter job orders, publish job orders.
