The Women Legislators of Missouri is accepting nominations for the fifth annual DeVerne Lee Calloway Award. The award will be presented March 31 at a ceremony in the capitol Rotunda, followed by a reception at the governor's mansion. The award is given in honor of DeVerne Lee Calloway, Missouri's first black woman to serve as state representative. Calloway served nine terms in the Missouri House. The award is given in honor of DeVerne Lee Calloway, Missouri's first black woman to serve as state representative. Calloway served nine terms in the Missouri House. She died in January 1993 at the age of 76.

Nominations must be mailed before Feb. 25.
