Several transportation projects around Southeast Missouri costing millions of dollars will move forward after federal stimulus money was directed toward those projects by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission today.Those projects include, but are not limited to:A new welcome center on Interstate 55 at Marston in New Madrid County: $7,113,660Pavement maintenance at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport: $1.6 millionRunway overlay at the Sikeston Memorial Municipal Airport: $2.5 millionConstruction of a transit administration facility in Dexter: $500,000Construction of a high-water rail line at the Southeast Missouri Regional Port Authority: $1.1 millionResurfacing of shoulders on Route W in Cape Girardeau from LaSalle Avenue to Lexington Avenue: $2.2 millionRehabilitation of pavement on William Street from I-55 to Kingshighway: $442,000
