JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon is stopping in the United Arab Emirates during an upcoming economic development trip.
Nixon announced Friday he’ll pitch Missouri exports to government officials and businesses in the country later this month.
Nixon also plans to speak with officials at the American embassy.
He’ll start the trade trip Tuesday in Israel, head to Germany on Thursday and then arrive in the United Arab Emirates on Friday.
Nixon will be back in the United States on Nov. 22.
First lady Georganne Nixon, the state’s economic-development director and business heads will join him.
The not-for-profit Hawthorne Foundation will pay the travel costs for Nixon and his wife.
