The Missouri Deer Hunter's Club is looking for a few good volunteer men and women across the state who consider themselves leaders, conservationists, and most importantly, passionate deer hunters, to help initiate local chapters in their regions of the Show-Me State.
"We are looking for volunteers who are as passionate about deer hunting as we are," said Tony Kalna Jr., founder of the Missouri Deer Hunter's Club. "Through our statewide network of local club chapters, we hope to promote the tradition of deer hunting through a variety of venues including local club activities and regional fund raising banquets."
The vision of the Missouri Deer Hunter's Club is to unite bowhunters, modem firearms hunters and muzzleloader hunters into one group which works together to promote the conservation of whitetail deer in Missouri, safe and ethical hunting practices, proper herd and land management through the Missouri Deer Management Alliance, youth interest in hunting and the shooting sports, and to preserve the tradition of whitetail deer hunting in Missouri.
"Our network of local club chapters will bring a diverse group of deer hunters together to enjoy good fellowship through local club activities and to help raise money through regional fund-raising banquets," KaIna said. "A good portion of the money we raise will be used to help fund the Missouri Department of Conservation's whitetail deer research and to support programs like Share the Harvest and Operation Game Thief.
The Missouri Deer Hunter's Club educates its members with articles on how to hunt whitetails and proper land and deer management for deer, in its official publication, Missouri Deer Hunter magazine. If you would like to become a volunteer local chapter leader or would simply like to join, contact the Missouri Deer Hunter's Club at 636-285-0893; e-mail deerhunt@brick.net; write P.O.
