A Wisconsin woman who had been missing since May 31 turned up in Cape Girardeau Monday.

Mary O'Rourke-Pape, 48, of Poynette, Wis., didn't tell her mother or her 14-year-old twins where she was going, various Wisconsin media outlets reported in recent weeks. Her family reported her missing on June 4 after she didn't show up at work at the county health center.

But early Monday morning, an anonymous call came into the Cape Girardeau Police Department that the woman was in one of the city's hospitals, according to Cape Girardeau police Capt. Carl Kennison.

He said the missing woman was in the hospital "for nothing serious" and that she was safe. As of Monday afternoon, she was still in the hospital, he said. He said she left Wisconsin of her own accord.

Kennison said the woman was reportedly headed to a friend's house in Kentucky.

Authorities told reporters recently that it was "out of character" for O'Rourke-Pape not to have contacted her two 14-year-old children.
