CORNING, Ark. -- The body of a Walnut Ridge, Ark., bank executive was found on a levee near Corning Sunday.
According to Clay County Sheriff Ronnie Cole, the sheriff's department received information at about 3:15 p.m. from an individual stating that he and his son had been riding a four-wheeler on the levee known as "Swift Ditch," southwest of Corning, and had found a body.
Authorities located the body of 44-year-old Mark White Stuart, a First National Bank vice president, on the side of the levee about 1 1/2 to 2 miles off of County Road 125, Cole said.
Later that evening, a vehicle was which turned out to be Stuart's was found approximately four miles east of where the body was found.
"Mr. Stuart was last heard from Tuesday night, Dec. 3" at about 9:30 p.m., Cole said.
At this time foul play is not suspected, Cole said.
"We figure it is weather related," he said.
