The Jacksonian Charter Chapter of A.B.W.A. is proud to again sponsor the Miss Jackson Scholarship Pageant, Miss Christmas, Miss Junior Christmas, Miss Holly and the Little Miss Snowball and Snowflake Pageants. These pageants will be held November 22nd, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The winner of the Miss Jackson Scholarship Pageant will represent Jackson in the Miss Missouri Scholarship Pageant, whose winner will then represent Missouri at the Miss America Scholarship Pageant in Atlantic City. The Miss Jackson Scholarship Pageant is directed under the rules and regulations of the Miss America Scholarship Program.
The Miss Jackson Scholarship Fund has surpassed it's goal of $2,000.00! The new Miss Jackson will be given a scholarship of $2,000.00, the largest scholarship ever awarded. This fund is financed by many area merchants, businesses and private donations. The Miss Christmas, Junior Miss Christmas, Miss Holly, Little Miss Snowball and Snowflake Pageants award savings bonds and prizes donated by area businesses and financial institutions.
Exciting entertainment will be featured this year at the afternoon and evening pageants! The afternoon pageant which crowns: Little Miss Snowflake, Little Miss Snowball, Miss Holly and Junior Miss Christmas will have 1996 Miss Missouri, Kim Massaro and 1997 Miss Jackson Stefanie Hammersmith as co-Mistress of Ceremonies! They will also entertain the audience with their wonderful dance routines. The evening pageant which crowns Miss Jackson and Miss Christmas will have as their featured entertainment: "THE MISSOURI GIRLS", a song and dance group composed of young ladies who have competed for the title of Miss Missouri. The afternoon and evening pageants are filled with showstopping entertainment.
