CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The world premier of "Mirror/Mirror" ushers in the McLeod Theater holiday season Nov. 22, 23 and Dec. 6-8 at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

The play is the moving story inspired by the life of living American artist Elizabeth Layton. Layton began drawing at the age of 68 as a form of therapy for manic-depression and has since earned an international reputation for her remarkable works.

In conjunction with the play, the SIU museum is presenting an exhibit of Layton's work through Dec. 13.

All performances start at 8 p.m. and the Sunday matinee begins at 2 p.m.
