Emergency personnel responded to a three-car accident Thursday in the 1100 block of South Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau, where two people suffered minor injuries.
According to witnesses at the scene, a Duncan Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning truck was turning left from a northbound lane around 4 p.m. when a tractor-trailer struck the back of it. The Duncan Mechanical truck crossed the Kingshighway median and struck a two-door Dodge truck, which rolled onto its side and came to a stop on the east side of the northbound lanes.
The driver of the Dodge truck refused medical treatment at the scene and only complained of a nosebleed and sore knees.
The driver and passenger of the Duncan Mechanical truck were transported to an area hospital.
Traffic was held up for less than 10 minutes near the crash site.
