PUXICO -- The annual "Spring Flower Tour" will continue Sunday at Mingo National Wildlife Refuge.
The 25-mile drive around the refuge will be open to the public, with the self-guided tours starting at the refuge visitor center, north of Puxico, on Highway 51.
Some species of wildflowers such as redbud, Dutchman's breeches, and other spring species are already in bloom.
This marks the second weekend for the tour.
A "spotting scope" will be set up on Fry Bluff from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday to enable visitors to view a bald eagle nest in Monopoly Marsh.
Visitors are required to obtain an entrance fee permit before driving the tour. Seasonal permits are available at the visitor center. The daily permits $2 per vehicle may be purchased at the auto tour entrances.
