The Mineral Area College Tourism Information and Education Center will host their first book signing this fall on Saturday, Oct. 17 from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Glen Thompkins of Florissant, author of The House on Riddle Hill, will be the first Missouri author featured.
The House on Riddle Hill is a collection of authentic stories about life on Crowley's Ridge in Southeast Missouri during the years of 1930-1955. The book tells of the lives of common people struggling to survive in hard times and in a harsh landscape. There are times when family failed, and personal ambitions went unfulfilled. Here too are examples of virtues and values so clearly taught as to last a lifetime.
To reserve an order for an autographed and/or "dedicated to" copy, call (573) 518-1615.
The MAC Tourism Center is located just off Hwy. 67 at the Leadington exit.
