Donations requested for orphanage in Kyrgyzstan
Jackson's D.A.R.E. officer, Darrell Sievers, is currently stationed in Kyrgyzstan. Improving the lives of local people is one of his unit's duties. Officer Sievers is asking Southeast Missouri residents to help with his efforts to replace the dilapidated roof on the K-Orphanage in Kyrgyzstan. Donations to this cause may be made at any Bank of America in Cape or Jackson. Checks or money orders made out to Manas AB Outreach Society may also be mailed directly to Sievers at 376 AEW/EHC, APO, AE 09353. The orphanage is also in need of paper, pencils, pens, scissors, glue, thread, needles, yarn, markers, crayons and cleaning supplies. These items may also be sent directly to Sievers.
