Fornkohl graduates from Air Force training; Guardsmen promoted to private first class; Area man finishes Army combat training

Copeland graduates from aeronautic school

Michael T. Copeland, a 1992 Scott City High School graduate, graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University recently with a bachelor of science in professional aeronautics. Copeland is an active duty service member in the U.S. Navy and has served for the past 14 years. Copeland resides in Pensacola with his wife, Debbie and two daughters, Natalie and Deanna. His parents, Walt and Linda Copeland of Cape Girardeau, attended the ceremony held at the National Museum of Aviation on board Naval Air Station Pensacola. Copeland's plans include pursuing his master's degree in the fall.

Fornkohl graduates from Air Force training

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Ryan P. Fornkohl has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.He is the son of Eldon and Pat Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau. Fornkohl is a 2002 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau.

Guardsmen promoted to private first class

Joseph B. Carr and Jason M. Anton have been promoted to the rank of private first class in the U.S. Army National Guard. Private Carr is a food service specialist assigned in Jackson. He is the son of Bart Carr of Cape Girardeau. Carr is a 2004 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. Private Anton is a quartermaster and chemical equipment repairer assigned in Jackson, Mo. He is the son of Sharon and Hugh Aldredge of Jackson. Anton is a 1998 graduate of Oak Ridge High School.

Area man finishes Army combat training

Army Pvt. Robert M. Cuba has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Cuba is the son of Richard and Rhonda Cuba of Cape Girardeau. He is a 1999 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau.
