Edwards takes part in desert warfare training
Army National Guard Spc. John D. Edwards is a member of the 48th Brigade Combat Team who recently participated in one of the most realistic scenarios of desert warfare offered by the U.S. Army at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Calif. The Illinois National Guard soldier is a member of the 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment. Edwards, an infantryman with four years of military service, is the son of Micheal P. Taylor of Lone Tree Lane, Hillsboro, Ill., and Christine Chastain of Scott City.
