Local man receives graduate award

Airman First Class Ryan P. Fornkohl recently attended the Department of the Air Force Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Apprentice course. His achievement in scoring 98 percent in all 10 blocks of instruction earned him the Distinguished Graduate Award. He is the son of Eldon and Pat Fornkohl; grandson of Lester and Barbara Fornkohl, all of Cape Girardeau; and the late Truman and Elsie Farrow of Jackson. Fornkohl is a 2002 graduate of Cape Central High School.

Hubbard completes basic infantry training

Army Pvt. Ryan L. Hubbard graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. Hubbard is the son of George Hubbard of Advance, Mo., and Peggy Price of Pleasantville, N.J., and is a 2006 graduate of a high school program at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
