Lucas Choate, a 1999 graduate of Kelly High School was commissioned as second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force recently by Capt. Chris Johnson at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is assigned to Travis Air Force Base, Calif., as a logistical readiness officer. Choate graduated with a bachelor of science degree in parks, recreation and tourism and a minor in aerospace studies. Choate is the son of Rick and Tenea Choate of Medical Lake, Washington, formerly of Benton, Mo.
