Maj. Berry returns to Southeast ROTC
Maj. Michael Berry, a graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps at Southeast Missouri State University, is serving as professor and chairman of aerospace studies at the school. In that position, he is directing the ROTC program.
A Jackson High School graduate, Berry graduated from Southeast in 1981 and received his Air Force commission. He served tours of duty in the southeastern United States and in Great Britain and Egypt. He was stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas prior to his current appointment.
"It seems my career has come full circle," said Berry. "When I graduated from college, I went to McConnell AFB for field training prior to going on active duty. Now, I have returned to Southeast Missouri State from McConnell AFB to teach."
Air Force ROTC allows students to earn an Air Force commission while completing university requirements for a bachelor's degree in any area of study.
