Sandusky graduates from basic training
GORDONVILLE, Mo. -- Army Reserve Pvt. Robert A. Sandusky has graduated from basic military training at Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Mo.
During training, Sandusky received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, rifle marksmanship, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness and first aid, as well as Army history, core values and traditions.
Sandusky, the son of Tony Sandusky of Gordonville, is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High School.
McCausland earns two awards at fall ceremony
Thomas McCausland of Cape Girardeau was presented with two awards at Central Missouri State University's Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps Fall 2002 Awards Ceremony.
McCausland received ROTC Honors in Military Science and Superior at Camp recognition.
To receive the honors award, McCausland had to achieve a 4.0 grade point average in military science.
He received Superior at Camp recognition for his completion of the five-week long National Advanced Leadership Camp in Ft. Lewis, Wash.
McCausland, son of Mr. and Mrs. James McCausland of Cape Girardeau, is a senior majoring in criminal justice at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Mo.
He is a 1999 graduate of Bishop DuBourg High School.
