Sands graduates from basic military training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Francis E. Sands graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Sands earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Charley Sands of Unity, Ill., and brother of Randolph Sands of Tamms, Ill. The airman is a 2003 graduate of Egyptian High School, Tamms.

Jackson grad completes Air Force basic training

Air Force Airman Michael J. Wood graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is the son of Paul and Judy Wood of Jackson. Wood is a 2006 graduate of Jackson High School.
