Airman now serving in Bahrain after graduation

Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Recruit Cassidy M. L'Hote, daughter of Audrey L'Hote of Cape Girardeau and Rick L'Hote of Perryville, Mo., graduated from Navy Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes, Ill., in November. She graduated from Naval Air Technical Training Center in Pensacola, Fla., recently and is currently assigned to an eight-month tour in Bahrain. L'Hote serves on the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, homeported in Norfolk, Va. She is a 2001 graduate of Perryville High School.

Seaman deployed to Mediterranean Sea

Navy Seaman David J. Lasters, son of Charles R. Lasters of Sikeston, Mo., recently departed on a scheduled deployment to the Mediterranean Sea while assigned to the guided missile destroyer USS Bulkeley, homeported in Norfolk, Va. Lasters' ship will join forces involved in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Lasters is a 2002 graduate of Sikeston Senior High School. He joined the Navy in August 2002.

Private finishes mechanics course

Army Pvt. Christopher J. Vaughn has graduated from the light-wheel vehicle mechanic advanced individual training course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Vaughn was trained to perform maintenance, troubleshoot and repair vehicles and related mechanical components. Vaughn is the son of Wendy G. Vaughn of Thebes, Ill., and Tommy G. Vaughn of Madison, Ill. He is a 2003 graduate of Madison Senior High School.
