Billed as "the world's largest guitarist," 6-foot-10-inch and 300-pound Mike Griffin will bring his Unknown Blues Band to Broussards Friday and Saturday.

The Nashville-based band is known for a hard-driving brand of blues in the Albert King style.

Griffin is known for straying from the stage with his wireless guitar, and for playing his slide blues with anything from a beer bottle to a high-heel shoe.

The band's debut album, "Back on the Streets Again," was released in April. It also features session veterans Jelly Roll Johnson on harp and the Muscle Shoals Horns.

The band consists of bassist Larry Emmons, drummer Greg Hoffman, and Moe Denham on the Hammond B-3 organ.

The band will play from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. both nights. Broussards is at 120 N. Main St. There is no cover charge.
