A new support group for women approaching or experiencing menopause has been formed at Southeast Missouri Hospital. The first meeting of the Menopause Support Group will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in Classroom A on the first floor of the hospital's Regional Cancer Center.

Guest speaker will be Ferne Jamieson, a registered nurse. She is an associate with the Cape Girardeau Area Vocational-Technical School. Jamieson's topic will be "Menopause: A Positive Approach."

Barb McKeon, nurse counselor at Southeast, said the group is open to any woman over 35.
