The two men in a fatal car accident outside Jackson on Saturday had been thrown from the vehicle as it flipped, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Dennis Blessing, 44, of Jackson died at the scene when his 1998 Chevrolet Camaro ran off Highway 72, became airborne, flipped several times and landed on its top, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's report. Passenger Joshua Burden, 21, of Marble Hill, Mo., was transported to Saint Francis Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The men were traveling east on Highway 72, three miles away from Jackson, the report said.

According to the report, neither man was wearing a seat belt.
