Rush H. Limbaugh Sr. was guest speaker at the November meeting of the Cape Girardeau County Legal Secretaries Association. The meeting was held at the law offices of Limbaugh, Russell, Payne and Howard in Cape Girardeau. Glendella May was hostess.
Limbaugh described law practice and changes that have taken place since he started practicing in 1916.
During the business session, the club discussed the annual Christmas party, and decided that members would donate gifts to Toybox again this year instead of exchanging gifts.

Van Matre Buick, 511 S. Kingshighway, has received a Best in Class award from the Buick Motor Division for a seventh consecutive year.
The award recognizes the top 200 Buick dealers for customer satisfaction, sales, and service factors. The competition is among the 3,000-plus Buick dealers in the nation.
To be honored as Best in Class, a dealership must meet 244 specific performance criteria relating to customer satisfaction and operating effectiveness.

COLUMBIA -- The 3M plant in Columbia will add 50 jobs following a planned $43 million expansion, officials said.
Construction is scheduled to begin in June, and production in January 1995, plant manager John Woodworth said. The expansion will add about 80,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
The plant, which makes electronic components, now employs 535 people.
LAKE OF OZARKS The Lodge of the Four Seasons at Lake of the Ozarks, is in its second phase of a major refurbishing.
The second phase of the three-year renovation project starts this week with interior improvements to the main lodge. The main lodge will serve guests only on weekends during the renovation. Weekday reservations will be upgraded to condominium units in the lodge's Racquet and Country Club through mid-February.
A gala dinner, dance, and concert performance by Tony Bennett is being planned for July 16 in observance of the lodge's 30th anniversary.
CHICAGO - Montgomery Ward & Co. has revealed expansion plans.
The company will open new stores in La Crosse, Wis., and Owensboro, Ky., in mid-1994, and explore the home shopping business. The new stores will focus on home furnishings, appliances and electronics.
The firm also announced that its president, Harold Kahn, has left the company. Kahn was hired by Ward in September 1992 after more than 15 years with R.H. Macy & Co. Inc. The announcement did not list the reason for Kahn's departure.
CHICAGO - United Airlines has announced a code-sharing agreement with Thai Airways International Ltd. to make it easier to transfer from one airline's flight to the other's.
United said it plans to coordinate schedules and develop a marketing agreement with Thai.
Stephen M. Wolf, United Airlines chairman and chief executive, said he hopes the venture will strengthen United's international route system.
United offers service to several Asian cities from six U.S. gateways.
