Five Cape Girardeau National Education Association members and two members of the Sikeston NEA were among 400 Missouri National Education Association leaders who attended the association's 21st annual leadership conference Aug. 4-6.
The conference was held at the University of Missouri-Columbia and was organized into "schools." Teachers, counselors, school nurses and other educational employees in attendance brushed up on leadership skills and learned new ways to work effectively in their local communities and associations.
Attending from Cape Girardeau were Mark Hahn, Joyce Edwards, Coralie Robertson, Brenda Woemmel and Kathy Wright; and from Sikeston, Joanie Rauls and Karen Recker.
