KENNETT -- Making plans for Missouri watermelons will be the focus of a meeting to be held at the Fishhook Restaurant here Feb. 18.

"Research and promotion, marketing and production will be among the items discussed at the one-day session," said Hank DiCarlo, extension horticulturist, who is coordinating the event.

Growers, buyers, and dealers of melon production supplies, and others with any interest in the commercial watermelon industry area invited to attend the meeting, which starts at 10 a.m.
