PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold an open-house community briefing from 4 to 6 p.m. March 10 at the Perry Park Center to discuss upcoming bridge replacements in Perry County. Plans to replace the U.S. 61 bridge over Apple Creek and the Route T bridge over Saline Creek will be discussed. Work on the U.S. 61 bridge is set to begin in June and be completed in July. A contract for the Route T project is expected to be awarded in February 2012. Construction could begin as early as spring 2012 with completion that fall. Both projects will involve road closures as improvements are underway.
