MEETING SET SUNDAY WITH NEW EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT HEAD

DEXTER - The new director of the Missouri Emergency Management Agency, Jerry Uhlmann, will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Southeast Missouri Civil Defense Association on Sunday.

SEMO-CDA President Lloyd Miller said the meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m., at the Dexter Elks Lodge on Business Route 60 and Sassafras Street in downtown Dexter.

Said Miller: "I'm sure all of us involved in emergency management and services will want to meet our new state director. He will be informing us of some of the plans he has in mind for the upcoming year and some changes he's thinking about. It's very important that as many attend as possible."

Miller urged members of Southeast Missouri fire, police, and emergency medical departments to alert other members of Sunday's meeting.
