The Southeast Region of the Medical Group Management Association will host its third annual Education Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. This meeting, to be held in the Harrison Room at Southeast Missouri Hospital, will focus on "The New Healthcare Reality ... Business 'Unusual.'"
Speaking at the event will be Sharon Mueller, a registered dental hygienist and Southeast Missouri regional manager with Dale Carnegie Training, and Billie Bright, director of training for Dale Carnegie Training in the St. Louis area.
Topics to be covered at the seminar include: "Effective Communication: Patient and Staff Personalities," "Turn Negatives into Positives," "Building Effective Work Teams" and "Customer Service Impacts Morale and the Bottom Line."
This seminar, appropriate for healthcare providers, physicians, nurses, administrators, physician office staff and business managers, has been approved for 7.5 contact hours. Registration fee is $75 for the full day with lunch or $40 for a half-day session and lunch.
