Hunter Gromer, a Meadow Heights senior, is planning to graduate on May 9 with the rest of his graduating class.
Gromer said his senior year has been good so far, but nothing too exciting or memorable has happened. And he is ready to move on with life after graduation.
Gromer wants to get a good job that pays well. He does not plan to go to college or a trade school.
"I will just go into an interview and put in an application, preferably for logging," he said.
Gromer wants to have a graduation party sometime after graduation to celebrate his achievements. He plans on moving in with his dad full time after graduation and live with his dad until he can afford his own house. Gromer said his next big purchase will be a house, so until then he will not have any other major purchases.
Garret Barks, one of Gromer's close friends, said Gromer is "a loving and kind young man with a loving heart." After graduation, Barks said he would love to hang out with Gromer and "take him out for dinner like old men."
Barks said that if Gromer works hard enough, he can get a job logging.
Abby Moran is a member of the 2024 Meadow Heights graduating class. She is the daughter of Ruth and Dennis Moran.
Moran is in quite a few extracurricular activities, including student council, FCCLA and Beta Club. She is an excellent student and does very well in her academics. Outside of school, she works at Arby's in Perryville. She enjoys where she works because of the people she works with and the environment.
In her free time, Moran loves to play in the mud with her truck.
"My love of trucks comes from my father. He has always had a big influence on me," she said.
After high school, Moran plans to attend the University of Missouri. She plans to major in psychology to become a therapist.
"I decided on this major because it has always fascinated me to try to understand how people think," she said.
Among her friends, Moran is known for being kind of cautious and a money saver. One of her good friends, Hannah Strothmann, said, "Abby is put together, blunt, definitely gets her work done, always keeps her grades up. She's somewhat organized in life and very nice."
One of Moran's favorite childhood memories for school is the fun she had on the playground with her friends.
"The playground was awesome back then," she recalled.
Moran said she enjoyed playing on the moon climber, but mostly loved just getting to play with her friends.
