U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill will talk to students, educators and law enforcement officials about ways to combat sexual violence on campus at 11:45 a.m. Monday at Southeast Missouri State University.
The discussion will take place at Shuck Auditorium at the River Campus, 518 S. Fountain St.
McCaskill, D-Missouri, also will visit other colleges while she's in the region as part of her "Claire on Campus" tour.
In July, McCaskill and a bipartisan group of senators introduced the Campus Safety and Accountability Act to help protect and empower students and strengthen accountability and transparency. That included establishing penalties for noncompliance with new standards for training, data and best practices.
