Paul L. Berens, a partner in the Cape Girardeau law firm of Finch, Bradshaw, Strom & Steel, will participate in a panel discussion during the Missouri Bar Association's annual meeting, to be held Sept. 26-28 at Kansas City.

Berens, and Judge Karen M. See, a bankruptcy judge for the Western District of Missouri, will discuss ethical consideration in the field of bankruptcy and addressing the attendees. Those attending the session will receive credit toward their annual continuing legal education requirement.

Berens has written several articles concerning bankruptcy, and has lectured on creditors' rights in bankruptcy on behalf of the Missouri Bankers Association, Missouri Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and the University of Missouri Law School.

Berens and his wife, Carol, live in Cape Girardeau. They are parents of three sons.
